The MGM group at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics actively encourages student participation. We are always looking for new members to undertake Honours and Postgraduate research with us.
The MGM group has strong links with a number of research centres in Australia and the United States. This allows our students to experience a range of research environments, and provides them with the opportunity to collaborate with academics outside the University of Melbourne. In addition, students are encouraged to travel and participate in conferences in Australia and abroad.
The projects offered by the MGM group are particularly suited for students with a background in applied mathematics who have a leaning towards physics and/or engineering subjects. For detailed decriptions of our research interests see our Research Pages and our List of Selected Publications.
